HAZELWOOD, Mo. (AP) - Prosecutors have charged a suburban St. Louis woman with second-degree murder and armed criminal action in the stabbing death of her boyfriend last August.
Erika Williams, 32, was charged Wednesday in the Aug. 10 stabbing death of 28-year-old Gregory Williams in the parking lot of a Hazelwood apartment complex, the St. Louis Post-Dispatch reported. Investigators say he ran after being stabbed, collapsing in a yard a few blocks away where he died.
Investigators said the couple had been arguing about breaking up when Gregory Williams was stabbed. A knife found at the scene had Erika Williams’ DNA on it, police said.
Erika Williams, who is named as Jabari Williams in court documents, is being held in lieu of $300,000 cash-only bail.
