DERRY, N.H. (AP) - A New Hampshire police officer suffered serious injuries on Friday when he was hit by a car while investigating a crash.
Officer Kevin Davies of the Derry Police Department was investigating the scene of a car that hit a guardrail in Derry at about 7:45 a.m. when he was hit, police said. Police said the car that struck Davies appeared to lose control and slide into him, crushing him between that car and the bumper of his patrol car.
Davies was transported to Parkland Medical Center for evaluation, WMUR-TV reported. Police said the crash is under investigation. No one has been charged with a crime, and everyone involved has been cooperative with police, they said.
