PETERSTOWN, W.Va. (AP) - An 86-year-old man died in a house fire Wednesday morning in West Virginia, officials said.
The house in Peterstown was in flames when firefighters arrived, WVNS reported.
The fire was put out by 11:20 a.m. The victim’s body was found in the building remains. His name was not immediately released.
The West Virginia fire marshal’s office and the Monroe County Sheriff’s Department are investigating. The cause of the fire has not been determined.
