PALMER, Mass. (AP) - A woman charged with killing another woman who was found dead at a Palmer home earlier this month faces arraignment Wednesday.
Brenda Mayhew, 54, is charged with murder in the killing of Marcia Wilson, 68, according to a statement from the office of Hampden District Attorney Anthony Gulluni.
Mayhew was taken into custody at Baystate Medical Center in Springfield on Tuesday and taken to the Palmer Police Department where she was booked.
Police responding to a 911 call at about 8 a.m. on Feb. 8 forced entry into the home where they found Wilson, who was already dead, prosecutors said. They then checked for additional victims or suspects and found two other people, one of them with serious injuries.
The case remains under investigation.
Authorities did not disclose a relationship between the suspect and victim or the cause of death.
It was not clear if Mayhew had an attorney.
