KANSAS CITY, Mo. (AP) - Homicide detectives in Kansas City are investigating the city’s latest killing after police found a man inside a vehicle who had been fatally shot.

Officers were called just after 12 a.m. Wednesday to the Ruskin Heights neighborhood for reports of a shooting and found the man suffering from gunshot wounds, police said in a news release. Police said the man died at the scene. His name was not immediately released.

Police processed the scene for evidence in the hours after the victim was discovered. No information was released on possible suspects, and no arrests had been reported in the case eight hours after the shooting.
