NEW YORK (AP) - A fire tore through a Queens home early Monday, killing a man and one of his 6-year-old sons and leaving the boy’s twin hospitalized with burns, authorities said.

Police and firefighters were called shortly after 1 a.m. to a two-story home on 157th Street, in the Flushing neighborhood.

A neighbor’s video, shown on WABC-TV, captured flames shooting through the home’s roof.

Authorities found the bodies of Stephen Blumling, 65, and his son Shawn.

Shawn’s twin is in stable condition, police said.

The Fire Department said another person at the home declined medical attention, and two firefighters were taken to hospitals with minor injuries.

Fire marshals are investigating what caused the blaze.
