The Washington Football Team’s COVID-19 list gained another member on Monday.
All-Pro guard Brandon Scherff is expected to be placed on the list this afternoon, according to multiple reports. The Athletic’s Ben Standig was first to report the news.
Scherff, 29, has started in nine games at right guard this season. Washington is already down multiple starters on the offensive line, including at center, where fourth-string Keith Ismael is expected to start. Saahdiq Charles could get the nod to replace Scherff against the Eagles.
Washington now has 17 players on the list due to the team’s coronavirus outbreak that caused the NFL to reschedule its game in Philadelphia for Tuesday instead of Sunday.
Six players made it off the list over the weekend, including wide receiver Cam Sims, defensive tackle Jonathan Allen and defensive end Montez Sweat. It’s still possible more players come off the list before kickoff.
