The current leadership from the White House makes a taxpayer such as myself want to ask: Why are you destabilizing this country? Why are your policies so intent on undermining certain segments of society to the point of rendering them useless (“Biden’s disarray on Afghan withdrawal raises doubts about his presidency,” Web, Aug. 16)?

Now that our foreign policy has destabilized Afghanistan, it appears that both internationally and domestically the Biden administration is hell-bent on enacting self-defeating laws that make no logical sense. The policies from this administration have placed unnecessary strain on borders, education, criminal justice,  health care and more, leaving many citizens such as myself in a state of confusion. Not a single effective initiative has been implemented to address our various crises.

Yet Biden et al continue to blame everybody else for worsening conditions. The current occupant of the White House is so out of touch with how to properly address domestic (and now foreign) issues, other world leaders are wondering why and how he can make so many errors.

Is this what “America is back” means? The borders are being overwhelmed; the criminal-justice system places the rights of criminals ahead of the rights of victims; increased gun violence is being seen nationally; and vaccination of citizens is faltering.

We were told that new leadership from a new administration would be so inspirational that what we are now witnessing would never occur. On the contrary — the Biden administration has instilled nothing but fear and anxiety on the American people.

We are reaching a point of no return, at which our foreign adversaries will have the opportunity to inflict major damage.
