WILLIAMSTOWN, Vt. (AP) - Fire has heavily damaged a church in Williamstown.

Firefighters were called to the Williamstown United Federated Church on Route 14 around 10:30 p.m. Monday.

The church was unoccupied at the time.



Firefighters were able to save a historic bell and the clock that was inside the steeple.

There was no word yet on what caused the blaze.
