OPINION:
It’s about time Puerto Rico be made a state so all its residents pay federal income taxes. They have been getting our tax dollars for almost 70 years.
As far as the new state’s political leanings, they will not make a bit of difference. America will have reinvented itself by June 2021. We are following the April 1775 Revolutionary War and the July 4, 1776, Independence Day. We have had independence and now we are going backward.
