WEST GREENWICH, R.I. (AP) - A New Hampshire man died in a car crash early Saturday morning in Rhode Island, state police said.
The single-vehicle crash occurred on Interstate 95 south in West Greenwich at about 3:30 a.m., Rhode Island State Police said in a news release.
Jason Reid, 45, of Concord, New Hampshire, failed to negotiate a left bending curve and veered right, consequently leaving the roadway, state police said. His car then entered the right shoulder, struck a large rock and rolled over, police said.
He was taken to Rhode Island Hospital in Providence and pronounced dead a short time later.
The left lane of the highway was closed during the investigation.
