PHOENIX (AP) - A 14-year-old boy has been arrested in connection with the fatal stabbing of another teenager, according to Phoenix police.

They said the juvenile allegedly stabbed a 15-year-old boy during an argument Tuesday night.

Police identified the victim as John Sanchez.

They said the suspect has been booked into jail on suspicion of second-degree murder and is not being charged as an adult at this time.

The name of the suspect hasn’t been released.

Police said Sanchez and the 14-year-old boy knew each other and the two teens got into an argument at the suspect’s west Phoenix apartment.

They said Sanchez was able to walk out of the apartment after the stabbing and a family member drove him to the hospital, where he later died.
