TUCSON, Ariz. (AP) - Tucson police say a deadly shooting between two men outside a strip club was gang-related.

Sgt. Pete Dugan said Monday that 25-year-old Dimitri Romero is accused of fatally shooting 33-year-old Sean Rashad-Odell Howell, who has known gang affiliations.

The incident started Sunday around 2 a.m. after the suspect and victim got into an altercation in the club parking lot.

Dugan says at some point, Romero pulled out a gun and fired at the victim.

Investigators say Howell was dropped off at the hospital. He was transported to another hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

Police have since located the car that dropped him off but are still searching for whomever brought him.

Romero is currently being held in Pima County Jail on one count each of first-degree murder and being a prohibited possessor. It was not immediately known Monday if he had an attorney to speak on his behalf.
