COLUMBIA, Mo. (AP) - A 48-year-old man is charged with first-degree murder in the fatal shooting of a Columbia man.

The Columbia Daily Tribune reported that Rickey L. Murry is jailed without bond. He is accused of killing Corey M. Jordan on Aug. 25.

Detective David Nicolaescu wrote in a probable cause statement that witnesses said they saw Murry and Jordan engaged in a dice game and arguing over the money being wagered. Nicolaescu wrote that Murry left in anger and returned 15 minutes later, when Murry was shot.

Someone claiming to be Murry called the Tribune Friday and said he was innocent of murder. The newspaper said phone messages left with the number provided by the caller were not returned.

Murry does not have a listed attorney.
