GREENSBORO, N.C. (AP) - A North Carolina man has been charged with murder in a fatal hit and run over the weekend, according to authorities.
Greensboro police responded to a neighborhood around 1 p.m. Sunday where officers found Anthony Douglas Hill, 53, dead, the agency said in a statement.
Paul Steven Voss Jr., 50, surrendered to police later Sunday and was charged with first-degree murder, according to the statement.
Hill was Black and Voss is white, but investigators said the crash did not appear to be racially motivated. The two men knew each other, police said.
Authorities did not describe the circumstances surrounding the hit and run.
It was unclear whether Voss had an attorney who could comment for him.
