OMAHA, Neb. (AP) - One person has been killed in a crash in north Omaha, police there said.
The crash happened early Wednesday morning, just after 3 a.m., along Sorensen Parkway, police said. Investigators said a car traveling east on the parkway drifted left, overcorrected to the right and hit a curb. That caused the car to flip and travel down an embankment into a parking lot, officials said.
The 34-year-old driver and sole occupant, Deana Lewis, was partially thrown from the car and died at the scene, police said.
Police continued Wednesday to investigate.
