FOLLY BEACH, S.C. (AP) - A six-year-old boy has died after a struggle in the water at Folly Beach, according to the Charleston County Coroner’s Office.
Ian Hernandez, of Ladson, was pronounced dead Monday at the Shawn Jenkins Children’s Hospital, the Post and Courier reported. An autopsy has been scheduled to confirm his cause of death, the coroner’s office said.
No further details were immediately available.
Folly Beach Public Safety is investigating, the coroner’s office said.
