Erica Kious says the torrent of backlash over House Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s recent “set up” claim continues unabated.

The eSalon owner told Fox News’ Tucker Carlson Wednesday night that she is scared by the sustained negativity that continues to flow her way after eliciting the California Democrat’s ire.

Security footage of Mrs. Pelosi recorded on Aug. 31 inside Ms. Kious’ eSalon showed the powerful politician flouting the city’s own coronavirus rules for businesses.

The independent hair stylist has said it was a “slap in the face” to small business owners that Mrs. Pelosi can “go and get her stuff done while no one else can go in.”

“I am actually done in San Francisco and closing my doors, unfortunately,” Ms. Kious said Wednesday evening. “I started to just get a ton of phone calls, text messages, emails, all my Yelp reviews … I’m actually afraid to go back … It’s a little scary and sad. I do have a lot of positive calls and text messages from clients. But other than that, nothing but negativity.”

Mr. Carlson noted that Mrs. Pelosi appeared on MSNBC over the weekend for 14 minutes and was not asked a single question on the issue.

“The second they take power, they crush you,” the “Tucker Carlson Tonight” host said of political hypocrisy involving the pandemic. “They humiliate you. ’Wear your mask. Wear your mask.’ We’re going to look back at this moment in horror and embarrassment. … They don’t even follow their own rules.”
