Pedestrian struck, killed in town of Turner

TURNER, Maine (AP) - A sport utility vehicle struck and killed a pedestrian who was on the roadway on Route 4, police in Maine said.

Dillon Jordan, 33, of Turner, was walking in the middle of the northbound lane and wearing dark clothing when he was hit Monday evening, the Androscoggin County Sheriff’s Department said.

There were no streetlights and the area was dark at the time, the sheriff’s department sad.

It’s not clear why Jordan was in the road, investigators said. An investigation is continuing.
