LETTERS TO THE EDITOR: Choose ‘drill’ that does job

OPINION:

As Nov. 3 approaches, it’s appropriate to meditate on the parable of the quarter-inch drill. If you need quarter-inch holes, you buy a quarter-inch drill. The drill gets you your quarter-inch holes in quantity. But while you’re glad to have the holes for your project, there’s no requirement for you to love the drill that made them, or for the drill to pass your aesthetic or stylistic standards.
