LOS ANGELES (AP) - About 2,100 general election ballots missing the U.S. president race were mailed to Los Angeles County voters, the Los Angeles Times reported.

The faulty ballots were sent to residents in the Woodland Hills area, the Los Angeles County Registrar-Recorder/County Clerk’s office confirmed to the Times late Monday.

“While this has impacted a very small number of Los Angeles County voters … we nevertheless apologize to those affected by the mistake,” said Michael Sanchez, a spokesman for the office.

Ballots for the Nov. 3 election are being mailed to all registered voters in California, including about 5.6 million in LA County.

Woodland Hills resident Christy Gargalis told the Times she received her ballot Monday and noticed there were no presidential choices.

Gargalis compared her ballot to those sent to her husband and sister and found that all had a list of state propositions printed twice but no choices for president.

Sanchez said all affected voters were being alerted by robocall and email, and corrected ballots with a letter explaining the error were being sent out.

Voters should discard the faulty ballot and mail in the accurate one, Sanchez said.

Any ballot already filled out and mailed in will be canceled once the voter’s new ballot is received, he said.
