CLAYTON, Mo. (AP) - Authorities in the St. Louis County town of Clayton say a construction worker is badly injured after a steel form used to pour foundations apparently dislodged and collapsed.
The incident happened about 7:30 a.m. Monday at the site where a high-rise commercial office building is under construction. The worker’s name was not released. He is hospitalized with what authorities call life-threatening injuries.
The steel form was used to pour concrete between slabs. The injured man was on the panel when it collapsed.
Authorities say the man’s co-workers performed CPR until paramedics arrived.
