GREENFIELD, Mass. (AP) - One person was killed and two others were seriously injured in a two-vehicle crash on the Route 2 bypass in Greenfield over the weekend, authorities said Monday.
An eastbound Ford SUV crossed the centerline into the westbound lane and struck a Toyota Yaris just after 6 p.m. Sunday, according to a statement from Northwestern district attorney’s office.
The Toyota driver, a 41-year-old Acton man, was killed. A dog in the car was also killed.
The driver and a passenger in the SUV were taken to the hospital with serious injuries.
No names were made public.
The crash remains under investigation and no charges or citations have been issued, the statement said.
