A $100 million ad blitz funded by Silicon Valley millionaires is coming to Joseph R. Biden’s aid as Election Day nears.
Vox’s Recode reported Tuesday that Super PAC Future Forward will saturate the media landscape as the Democrat’s election showdown with President Trump comes to a head.
“The barrage of late money — which includes at least $22 million from Facebook co-founder Dustin Moskovitz — figures among one of the most expensive and aggressive plays yet by tech billionaires,” the website reported.
The group’s power players include Google CEO Eric Schmidt and Twilio founder Jeff Lawson.
“Future Forward has stressed in these conversations that it has unique abilities to measure and predict an ad’s effectiveness by deploying clever experiments,” Recode added. “The group has worked with other Democratic ad makers and its in-house team to make more than 100 different ads, although only about a dozen have made it to the airwaves.”
The latest fundraising report is not yet on the Federal Election Commission’s website, although the group raised $66 million from Sept. 1 through Oct. 15.
