LETTERS TO THE EDITOR: Hunter Biden’s sweet deal

OPINION:

That darned swamp drains exceeding slowly, doesn’t it? Even after gallons of “drain cleaner,” it remains murky and still smells like old-fashioned political corruption (“’Use your influence’: Hunter Biden report undercuts father, upends campaign,” Web, Oct. 14). Here we have Joe Biden, veteran croupier at the gaming table of American life, using the old rules to twist the arms of Ukrainian officials by threatening to withhold $1 billion in taxpayer dollars if they don’t fire a prosecutor about to investigate a business in which ol’ Joe’s son has an interest. This, despite the fact that the junior Biden does not speak the language and does not know the business. It’s a good deal if you can get it, and with dad’s help Hunter Biden got it good. But shush, mustn’t utter a word. It’s a swamp thing, don’t you know?
