JENNINGS, Mo. (AP) - Two gunmen fired into a moving vehicle Thursday, killing the driver and wounding two children in the St. Louis area, authorities say.
After the shooting, the victim’s car and the sport utility vehicle in which the gunmen were riding collided, St. Louis County police said in a news release.
The driver of the car suffered one gunshot wound and was pronounced dead at the hospital. Two of his relatives, a 9-year-old girl and a 5-year-old boy, suffered minor injuries.
Police said the gunmen ran from their disabled SUV armed with rifles. Police are searching the area by air and using police dogs to help officers on the ground.
