Sheriff: Body of 70-year-old man found in Pomona Lake

POMONA, Kan. (AP) - The body of a man was pulled from Pomona Lake in east-central Kansas earlier this week, officials there said.

The body of Floyd Moehlman, 70, of Pomona, was found Monday evening after officials received reports of a capsized boat at the lake, Topeka television station KSNT reported.

The Osage County Sheriff’s Office said deputies, medics and firefighters arrived at the lake around 6:30 p.m., where a boat had capsized near the Carbolyn Park boat ramp, and soon found Moehlman’s body. He was declared dead at the scene.
