WALDORF, Md. (AP) - A reward of up to $11,000 is being offered after a convenience store clerk was fatally shot in southern Maryland.

The Washington Post reports that the female clerk was killed early Thursday at a a 7-Eleven store in Waldorf..

The Charles County Sheriff’s Office said in a statement that the incident unfolded around 1 a.m. during a robbery.



Few details were released. The woman’s name also was not released, pending the notification of her relatives.

Investigators are trying to find a suspect or suspects in the shooting.
