A teenage bicyclist has died after being hit by cars twice on a Stamford road, police said Saturday.
First, a Cadillac struck the 19-year-old around 10:30 p.m. Friday, throwing him off his bike and into the roadway on Harvard Avenue, according to the Stamford Police Department. Then he was hit by another car, an Infiniti.
The teen was taken to Stamford Hospital, but medical staffers couldn’t save him, police said. His name hasn’t been released.
Police said both motorists initially stopped, though the Infiniti driver then left before talking with officers. They quickly found and interviewed him.
No charges have been filed as police continue to investigate.
