CLEVELAND (AP) - A drive-by shooting in a Cleveland neighborhood left an 11-year-old girl seriously injured, authorities said.
The child was inside a home on the city’s west side when the shooting occurred Wednesday night. City police said someone in a passing vehicle opened fire on the home, and the girl was shot in the upper thigh.
The girl was taken to a hospital where she remains in serious condition. Her name and further details on her injuries have not been released.
Authorities have not said how many people were in the home when the shooting occurred. No other injuries were reported.
A motive for the shooting remains under consideration.
