ERIE, Kan. (AP) - A man and woman died when their pickup truck hit a combine on a bridge in southeast Kansas, the Kansas Highway Patrol said.

The accident happened northwest of Erie Monday evening on a bridge over Canville Creek.

The patrol said a truck driving west on the bridge collided with the header of the combine.



Michael Drake, 67, and Marilyn Drake, 63, of Buffalo, were in the pickup. They died at the scene.

The driver of the combine was not injured.
