Thank you for being one of the precious few media outlets to respect the canons of journalism and not hop on the bandwagon of those who refer to Joe Biden as “president-elect.”

Elections are not decided by the press, the pundits or how likely or unlikely a challenge to the results may be, and they are certainly not decided by indviduals’ desires.

Until and unless the electors elect a president, you are absolutely right to identify Mr. Biden as the “presumptive president-elect.” (In fact, “projected president-elect” would be even better). I wish more newspapers followed your lead.
