NEW VIENNA, Iowa (AP) - A grain barn in eastern Iowa was destroyed in an early Monday morning fire, officials there said.
Firefighters were called to the blaze around 3:20 a.m. Monday in Dubuque County, television station KCRG reported. Arriving firefighters found the barn completely engulfed in flames, officials said.
Crews were able to extinguish the fire, but said the barn is a total loss. A house and a vehicle on the property also sustained heat damage during the fire, officials said.
The fire caused about $25,000 in damage, officials estimated. No injuries were reported.
