PONTIAC, Mich. (AP) - A couple drowned after their car plunged into a lake in Oakland County, police said.

The incident occurred Tuesday night at Terry Lake in Pontiac.

Divers from the sheriff’s office recovered the bodies of Robert Grandberry, 69, and his wife, Cathy Grandberry, 67, about 20 feet from shore. They lived in Pontiac.

“There are indications the driver, Mr. Grandberry, may have had a medical issue prior to going into the lake,” the sheriff’s office said. “Our thoughts and prayers are with the family of Mr. and Mrs. Grandberry.”
