BURLINGTON, Vt. (AP) - A second suspect in a Vermont homicide has turned himself in, according to the Burlington Police Department.
Burlington Police Deputy Chief Matt Sullivan said Friday that Peter Nguyen, 27, surrendered in connection to the death of 38-year-old Steven Martin, WCAX-TV reported.
Martin was killed in a gunfight in his home on April 26.
Octavious Allen-Napier, 25, was arrested after a police chase and was charged with a federal firearms violation on April 29.
Allen-Napier is being investigated in connection with Martin’s death, according to court documents.
Investigators believe that Nguyen and Allen-Napier were involved in the shooting.
“There’s evidence that both of the suspects were engaged in the shooting,” Sullivan said. “They both discharged firearms toward the victim.”
It was unclear Saturday whether the two men were represented by attorneys.
