BUCKEYE, Ariz. (AP) - A woman found dead on Interstate 10 last week likely was struck by a vehicle, Buckeye police said Tuesday.
They said an autopsy performed by the Maricopa County Medical Examiner’s Office has determined the cause of death to be high velocity impact.
Police and Arizona Department of Public Safety troopers responded to a call of a body found in the freeway median last Friday.
The body was in various stages of decomposition and hasn’t been positively identified yet, according to police.
No other details were released by authorities Tuesday.
