MANCHESTER, N.H. (AP) - A firefighter was hospitalized in stable condition after battling a house fire in New Hampshire, authorities said.

The Manchester Fire Department said the 52-year-old firefighter went into cardiac arrest on Monday and was found unresponsive inside the building by other firefighters. He was removed and underwent lifesaving measures. His name hasn’t been released.

No one else was hurt

WMUR-TV reports the department said the residents of the building were in the process of moving and were not at home at the time. The cause of the fire was determined to be accidental as the result of an overloaded electrical cord. It started in the kitchen and extended to a rear porch. Damages were about $75,000.
