TOPEKA, Kan. (AP) - Police say a driver ran a red light, hit a Kansas police SUV and then flipped it on its top Sunday morning.

Police told the Topeka Capital-Journal that the driver T-boned a Topeka police vehicle, rolling the SUV upside down.

Police said the officer who was hit and a passenger from the other car were taken to the hospital for minor injuries, the newspaper reported.



Police have not yet released the names of the driver or the police officer involved.
