TUCSON, Ariz. (AP) - An exchange of gunfire involved the drivers of two cars has left a man dead in a possible gang-related incident, Tucson police said.
They said officers from midtown division were called out to a market store Saturday afternoon.
Witnesses told police that drivers of two vehicles exchanged gunfire prior to fleeing the scene.
Shortly thereafter, a man and woman arrived at a Tucson hospital with gunshot trauma.
Police said the man - later identified as 29-year-old Omar Rascon - died from his injuries.
The unidentified woman had non-life threatening injuries.
Police said a third person with gunshot trauma later came to the hospital and it was determined the three were at the shooting scene and at least one of them has gang affiliations.
They said charges are pending against the man who survived the shooting. His name wasn’t immediately released.
