HOLYOKE, Mass. (AP) - Thousands of Massachusetts homes and businesses remained without power Saturday after a powerful storm brought wind gusts above 60 mph.

Nearly 30,000 electric customers lost power during Friday night’s storm. By Saturday afternoon, about 6,600 were still in the dark, according to the Massachusetts Emergency Management Agency.

In Holyoke, two people were injured and more than 140 residents were displaced when wind tore off parts of the roof of two apartment buildings, WCVB-TV reported.
