PROVIDENCE, R.I. (AP) - The average price of gasoline in Rhode Island has dropped 3 cents per gallon in the past week, AAA Northeast reported Monday.
Self-serve, regular is now averaging $1.93 per gallon, according to the organization’s latest survey, which is 9 cents higher than the national per-gallon average, but 93 cents lower than the average in-state price a year ago.
Prices at the pump prices are fluctuating across the country as demand increases and gasoline stocks decrease because states are reopening after shutting down because of the coronavirus, AAA said.
AAA found a wide range of prices for regular, from a low of $1.66 to a high of $2.19 per gallon.
