JOHNSON, Vt. (AP) - Helping veterans and their families access critical benefits and health care resources was the focus of the seventh annual veterans summit at Northern Vermont University.

The event Saturday included speakers, breakout sessions, exhibitor booths and the Veteran Administration’s Mobile Vet Center.

Edward Tick was scheduled to give the keynote address entitled, “Restoring the Warrior Spirit: Holistic Healing of War’s Invisible Wounds.” Other speakers included Maj. Gen. Troy Kok, of the Army Reserve Accessions Task Force, and Dr. Brett Rusch, chief of staff at the White River Junction VA Medical Center.
