RAMSEY, N.J. (AP) - A crash on a major highway in northern New Jersey has left a woman dead and her husband and three children injured, including an infant who was ejected from the vehicle along with his mother.
The crash occurred around 6:45 a.m. Thursday on southbound Route 17 in Ramsey.
The 34-year-old Newark woman, whose name was not released, and her family were all in the same vehicle when it collided with another vehicle. She was pronounced dead at the scene a short time later.
Her 36-year-old husband - who was driving the car - and their three young children all suffered minor injuries, while the driver of the other vehicle was not injured, authorities said. Their names have not been released.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
