PAHRUMP, Nev. (AP) - One person was killed and a Nye County sheriff’s deputy was injured in a shooting in Pahrump, the Sheriff’s Office said.
The shooting occurred Wednesday night and the deputy was taken to a Las Vegas hospital for treatment, the office said.
No identities were released and no information was immediately available on the condition or injuries of the deputy.
The incident occurred on the eastern outskirts of Pahrump, which is 46 miles (74 kilometers) west of Las Vegas.
