ROYALTON, Vt. (AP) - Vermont State Police on Tuesday were investigating a shooting in Royalton that left one man dead and another man injured.
Troopers were called to respond to an altercation with gunshots at the home around 2:45 a.m. When troopers arrived, they found George Sun, 41, dead and another man injured from gunshot wounds outside of the home. The 26-year-old injured man, whose name was not been released, was taken to Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center, where he underwent surgery. Police said he had been in critical condition.
Two other people were at the home at the time.
Sun and the injured man were friends, police said, and Sun’s ex-girlfriend, who was not at the home, had called police about the altercation. No one was charged in the shooting as of Tuesday afternoon and police were seeking the public’s help with information about what happened.
