PATERSON, N.J. (AP) - A fire that broke out Monday at an auto body shop in northern New Jersey sent large plumes of smoke into the air that could be seen for miles, but authorities said no serious injuries were reported.
The fire in Paterson broke out around 9:30 a.m. and continued to burn for a few hours before it was brought under control, authorities said. One firefighter suffered an undisclosed minor injury when he fell through the roof of the building, but he was able to soon free himself.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
