WILMINGTON, Del. (AP) - Two separate fires in Delaware have sent four people to the hospital and displaced four others from their home.
Assistant State Fire Marshal Michael Chionchio told the News Journal that a fire in Mill Creek started shortly before 2 a.m. Saturday. He said firefighters arrived to find a light fixture on the front of the home had caught fire and caused $10,000 in damage. Four people, including a child, were taken to Christiana Hospital for medical evaluation. They were listed in good condition.
The second fire morning broke out just after 4 a.m. in a three-story home in Milford. Chionchio said no injuries were reported, but four adults living there were displaced. Chionchio said investigators are still searching searching for a cause. The American Red Cross is assisting those affected.
