TAUNTON, Mass. (AP) - A teaching assistant at a Massachusetts technical high school was charged with raping two female students.

Matthew Emil Parris, 29, of Raynham, pleaded not guilty Monday in Taunton District Court to charges of aggravated statutory rape, rape of a child with force and kidnapping of a child.

The charges came after a 15-year-old female student reported an alleged rape to Southeastern Regional Vocational Technical High School officials last week. Police were notified shortly after and detectives began to investigate.

Parris’ attorney refused to speak to Boston 25 News outside of court.

The alleged victim told officials the first time Parris attacked her was on Feb. 22 at a local cemetery after the teacher contacted her through Instagram. The two met outside school where Parris tried to kiss the student and then fondled her breast, according to court documents.

Then, on March 2, during the school day, the girl told police that Parris forced her to perform oral sex on him, claiming he would “make your life hell if you don’t,” the report states.

Detectives interviewed several other students about Parris allegedly assaulting them.

After being confronted by school officials last week, Parris admitted to kissing a student, then said he did “more,” but did not explain further, court documents state. He also described himself as a “sex addict” and was aware that he needed help.

Superintendent Luis Lopes said Parris was fired last Thursday.

He is set to appear in court again Thursday, when a judge will determine whether he would pose a threat to the public if released.
