SOUTHAMPTON, Pa. (AP) - Authorities say a woman was found dead after an early morning fire in a suburban Philadelphia home over the weekend.
Fire crews were called to the Upper Southampton Township residence shortly after 2 a.m. Sunday.
Firefighters reported flames shooting from the home and reports of a woman trapped inside. Crews called for help from neighboring towns. Firefighters were still working on hot spots when the roof collapsed at about 3:30 a.m. Sunday.
Authorities said a woman’s body was recovered from the back of the home. Her name wasn’t immediately released. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
