NEW YORK (AP) - Enzo Biochem Inc. on Monday reported a fiscal third-quarter loss of $9.9 million, after reporting a profit in the same period a year earlier.
The New York-based company said it had a loss of 21 cents per share. Losses, adjusted for non-recurring costs, were 17 cents per share.
The year-earlier period benefited from higher revenue as well as a hefty legal settlement and licensing payments. On an adjusted basis, the 2019 fiscal third-quarter loss totaled $6.1 million, or 13 cents per share.
The life sciences and biotechnology company posted revenue of $16.9 million in the period, a 14% year-over-year decline related to the coronavirus pandemic.
In the final minutes of trading on Monday, the company’s shares hit $2.77. A year ago, they were trading at $3.41.
